Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each customer is unique, and your tasks vary based on the customer's needs. You respect the customer's self-determination and integrity, contributing to a smooth daily life.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has humor, a twinkle in their eye, and is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for someone who matches the following:

• wants to work with our male customer in his 70s living in Halmstad
• has good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written
• has experience with the diagnosis of MS
• is a good swimmer and in good physical shape

It is also an advantage if you:

• have experience in similar work
• have a B driver's license
• share the customer's interests such as swimming, walking, and outdoor activities

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The position is a summer temporary job and is approximately 100%. The job starts from week 29 to 33. Rolling 2-week schedule: One week Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. The other week Monday - Saturday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Saturday 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM).

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation is in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

Week 29, but we would like you to have the opportunity to start with introductory shifts and work a few shifts as a temp before then. Selection is ongoing, so do not wait to apply.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you will need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a possible employment. Further information will come if you proceed in the recruitment process.
